Our dedication to environmental protection and biodiversity hasn’t gone unnoticed. Few years ago, we partnered with an organization called Keeping Hope Alive to plant forest trees along the Masiaka/Bo Highway. As a part of our several corporate social responsibility interventions, we have committed our time and resources to promoting and preserving the environment at all times.
From the cleaning of our pristine beaches to getting rid of plastics and other types of inorganic waste in parts of Freetown and the provinces, RCBANK will always aspire to a clean, healthy and safe environment – for our customers and the general citizenry.
Today, we want to thank Shout Climate Change, the Sierra Leone Meteorological Agency and the Freetown City Council for acknowledging these efforts with a “Climate Change Champion CEO of the Year” award presented to our Managing Director, Dr. Walton Ekundayoh Gilpin and the “Environmental Excellent Bank of the Year” Award presented to RCBank at the 7th Environmental Care Awards held yesterday, 24th November, 2023 in Freetown.
We will derive more inspiration from this as we work harder to make our environment safer for generations to come.
