Ecobank launches partnership with Shalimar Trading Company

In a bid to make products and services easy for their customers, one of the leading banking institutions in Sierra Leone, Ecobank, has on Friday, 22nd March, partnered with Shalimar Trading Company.

 The ceremony took place at the Ecobank SL head office, Lightfoot Boston Street in Freetown.

Some of the products and services offer by Ecobank includes Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Prepaid Cards, Cash-xpress, Salary Express, among others.

Shalimar Trading is a premier organization in the field of automobile, established in the year 2003 as a sole distributor of TVS motorbikes, Sonalika Tractors and Implements & Suzuki cars from Japan, Isuzu and CF Moto in Sierra Leone.

In his welcoming address, Musyamasu Sahr warmly welcomed the gathering and noted that the two companies are household names in Sierra Leone.

Sahr asserted that the partnership between Ecobank Sierra Leone and Shalimar Trading will add value to their customers through financial freedom.

Ecobank SL Managing Director, Sebastian Ashong Katai, said he was  excited about the partnership, stating  that EcoBank SL as an institution wanted its customers to enjoy financial freedom.

He said they wanted to make their products available to their customers and made Africa a better continent.

As an institution, the Managing Director said they always make sure that they give back to their customers for putting their trust as a sign of appreciation.

Katai further stated that they wanted to contribute to the economic development of  Sierra Leone and bring their products closer to their customers and create an enabling environment to realise their dreams.

He assured that they would continue offering services to their customers and thanked the Marketing Manager of Shalimar Trading for partnering with them.

Shalimar Trading Marketing Manager, Vikram Gulavani, said Shalimar Trading had been in the forefront of empowering Sierra Leoneans through motorbikes, which has created jobs for many Sierra Leoneans.

Vikram Gulavani  said that most of the vehicles coming into the country are used vehicles, emphasising that the partnership is wonderful for Sierra Leoneans because the country is desperately in need of the partnership.

“We provide our customers with highly effective and quality customer relationship management services designed to answer the corporate needs for both private and organizational efficiency, productivity, growth and profitability. We aim to provide our clients with real solutions to help them adapt to the rapidly changing environment of the technology industry,” he stated.

The Marketing Manager assured Sierra Leoneans that the partnership will continue to empower Sierra Leoneans.

“We provide wide range of automobile and agriculture products giving you the solutions to everything needed,” he assured. Conclusively, he thanked Ecobank for the partnership.

Head of Consumer Banking at Ecobank, Kate Thompson, said it was a great pride to officially announce the partnership between the two companies.

The partnership, she said, will support and contribute to economic development in Sierra Leone.

She assured that Shalimar Trading will be responsible delivery their products to their customers.

Madam Thompson said the partnership is a milestone to the banking sector and thanked the Marketing Manager of Shalimar Trading, Mr. Gulavani for their loyalty.

Kingsley Emezu, in his presentation, highlighted the eligibilities that will be beneficial to the partnership between the two companies.

Mr. Emezu  cited that one of the eligibilities is that an individual should have a savings account at the said bank and continue banking with Ecobank.
