Amb Dr Walton Ekundayo Gilpin...Well done!!

During a public hearing at the administrative building in Parliament on the 12th of June 2024, the Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee (PAC) unanimously agreed that the Bank has no case to answer on the issue of duplicate user IDs in its revolutionary X_100 operating system as published in the 2022 Auditor General’s report.

The Auditor General’s  Report had  highlighted the existence of duplicate user IDs on the X_100 banking application contrary to banking regulations. In response, the management of Rokel Commercial clarified that they don’t delete users from the system but had rather moved them to a permanent deactivating category, and users who transition from contract to permanent staff have their IDs updated accordingly.

After thorough scrutiny the duplicate user ID issue was resolved as Members of the Committee took turns to commend the  Rokel Commercial Bank’s Management led by a renowned economist, Dr Walton Ekundayo Gilpin for what they described as one of the most effective banking systems in Sierra Leone and the Sub-region.

For its exemplary work, the Rokel Commercial  Bank was also hinted by members of the committee for a presidential award this year.
