FirstBank Sierra Leone Limited has appointed Boblinda Bami-Caulker as its Executive Director. Her appointment came on the heels of an approval by the Bank of Sierra Leone. Boblinda Bami-Caulker succeeds Emmanuel Efiom Ekong, whose tour of duty from Nigeria has come to a close. She becomes the first Sierra Leonean from the inception of the bank to be appointed to such an exalted position in the bank.
Boblinda Bami-Caulker joins FirstBank Sierra Leone Limited with an impressively diversified wealth of professional experience spanning well over fifteen years in the banking industry. Her professional journey started at Zenith Bank (SL) Ltd where she distinguished herself as a well driven, goal-oriented and professional banker. She also had some great and remarkable stints at Access Bank (SL) Ltd and Guaranty Trust Bank (SL) Ltd. She has over the years built a rich and high impressive resume as an astute banker in depth and breadth and well positioned to drive FirstBank’s strategic aspirations along the trajectory of success and growth.
In her role as the Executive Director of FirstBank Sierra Leone Limited, she is tasked with the responsibility of assisting in steering the bank towards a path of growth and stability, and her long years of professional expertise will be pivotal in delivering on these key goals of the bank. This is in addition to overseeing the bank’s strategic growth and business directives in line with the “highest global governance, regulatory standards and the FirstBank ‘YOU FIRST’ customer satisfaction service policy”.
At a brief ceremony where Boblinda Bami-Caulker was presented to the media and the general public, Mr. Udeme Udoh, the Managing Director was highly enthused and excited with the appointment of Boblinda Bami-Caulker as the Executive Director of the Bank. “Boblinda Bami-Caulker is coming to FirstBank as the Executive Director with a cache of experience in banking a motoric drive to achieve the needed result. I do hereby entreat all to give her an unreserved support needed to enable her achieve the Bank’s goals,” he said.
In her response, Boblinda Bami-Caulker expressed her appreciation to the Board, Management and Staff of the Bank for the opportunity given to her to be part of the “FirstBank family.” She also expressed her commitment to work as one team in order to deliver on the billing of the office of the Executive Director of the bank.
