Everybody Must Farm (EMF), known for widely promoting agriculture and agribusiness activities in Sierra Leone, will in collaboration with partners, launch the District Farm Project to promote trade harmonization and successful entrepreneurship in agriculture.
Sfano Njawa Sesay, who is the Founder and President of EMF told Concord Times that, the District Farm Project will be launched through the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and the Mano River Union Secretariat.
He said the project will create massive job opportunities, promote decent trade harmonization and as well enhances the protection of women’s rights in the MRU basin.
President Njawa-Sesay cited the Building Inclusive Business for Stabilization and Transformation (BI-BEST) Project training by the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization in which he was a certified trainer and the recent policy dialogue on trade harmonization by the Mano River Union Secretariat developed in him a sense of responsibility to further encourage members of the EMF, the Ministry of Agriculture ,National Federation of Farmers of Sierra Leone, Inter-religious Council of Sierra Leone, Sierra Leone Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, to help him promote agriculture by launching and establishing District Farm Project for sustainable peace and development and enhance economic growth.
