The second count accuses them of riotous conduct, contrary to Section 12(a) of the Public Order Act No. 46 of 1965, as repealed and replaced by Act No. 15 of 1973, for behaving in a riotous manner on the same date and location.
When the charges were read, no pleas were taken. Defense counsel I. Turay applied for bail on behalf of all the accused, but Magistrate Sahr Kekura denied the request and remanded them at the Male Correctional Center.
Police Prosecutor Sergeant 9939 Lahai M. requested a short adjournment to properly confer with his witnesses. The case was adjourned to July 15, 2024.
