A representative from the Ministry of Youth Affairs has told members of the media and civil society organisations in Bo that as part of their achievement in President Bio’s three and half years in office, they have established 191 youth councils across the 16 districts, and provided 32 motorbikes to monitor the Free Quality Education and the free health care services, including COVID-19 operations.
Charles Moinina, who represented the ministry, was speaking on Saturday at the 2 days annual retreat held the Ministry of Information and Communications.
He also said key in the 2018 Manifesto for their ministry is empowering the youth in technical and vocational trainings, as well as establishing youth empowerment funds under the Medium Term National Development Plan, which will reduce youth unemployment.
He disclosed that the ministry disbursed 1.4 billion Leones to youth entrepreneurs affected by COVID-19.
