US based nurse donates textbooks to nursing school

Sheku Tejan Sillah,A sierra Leonean United States based nurse on Thursday donated relevant textbooks work over $50,000, United States Dollars to the Facaulty of Nursing, College of Medicine and Allied Health Sceiences,University of Sierra Leone.

While donating the items,Sillah said after conducting a research through Long Life Clinic situated at Lungi,he saw the need to contribute to the improvement of the health sector in Sierra Leone, hence decided to donate those books to aid the learning process in the medical field.

 He disclosed plans to donate more textbooks in the near future, thus calling on the beneficiaries to make good use of the materials that have been donated to empower themselves for the task ahead.

While receiving the items, Head of Department,Specialised Nursing, Donald Conteh,expressed appreciation, noting that the books are not only good, but also recent and that they would serve the needs of the institution.

He said the books were donated at the right when needed most by the institution.
