Two remanded for house breaking in Kenema

Two accused persons, James Foryoh of 200 Dama Road and Francis Abdulai of 9 Bockarie Sannoh Street in Kenema, have been remanded by Magistrate Alhaji Sulaiman Koroma of the Magistrate Court in Kenema for conspiracy to commit a felony contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.

According to the prosecution, the two accused persons on Wednesday, 20th August, 2014 at Sao Abie Guest House, Torkpombu allegedly conspired with other persons unknown to commit felony, to wit house breaking and larceny.

According to the particulars of offence, the accused persons on the said date broke into the Sao Abie Guest House and stole therein items worth millions of Leones.

The stolen items include one satellite positional valued at Le150,000, three overhead fans worth Le480,000, one max amplifier valued at Le450,000, two giant 14 inches television speakers worth Le600,000, and other assorted items all to the total value of Le2,295,000.

One of the accused persons, James Foryoh, was allegedly arrested in possession of house breaking implements such as crow-bar, one axe saw blade, one hammer, three screw drivers and one pincher, the prosecution said, adding that the accused was also found in possession of one King Max yellow generator machine, a green rubber chair, on blue and white cool man, a musical set, DVD player and three rubber buckets, among other things.

The matter was adjourned to 5th September for further hearing.
