Theft of free healthcare drugs…

Health for All Coalition calls for speedy investigation

Health for All Coalition Sierra Leone has in a press release called on the government of Sierra Leone and security agencies to conduct a speedy investigation into an allegation of theft of assorted free healthcare drugs, adding that anyone found guilty should be dealt with according to law.

According to the press release, the organisation, on 25th September, 2016 received with dismay and disappointment report from their District Coordinator in Kambia District an alleged theft of assorted quantities of free healthcare drugs arrested at the Madamayah Police Checkpoint, Gbinle-Dixon Chiefdom, in Kambia District.

The coalition further called on the general public and all patriotic citizens to desist from buying and selling free healthcare drugs and supplies.

They also called on the public to avail any information on people trading in free healthcare drugs to the Sierra Leone Police, Anti-Corruption Commission, Ministry of Health and Sanitation, local authorities or their district monitors across the country.

They further assured the general public of their determination to follow the matter to its logical conclusion, without fear our favour.
