Sierra Leonean squash trio are eyeing an improved and better performance at the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
James Fayia, Ernest Jobla and Usifi Kofi Mansaray are the three players to compete in the forthcoming games and are already eyeing success in Gold Coast.
Following last weekend competitive training session at the YSC Squash Complex, the trio believe they can get pass the preliminary battle and make way through respective rounds.
Fayia, who is no stranger to the Commonwealth Games, having represented the country at the 2014 Games in Glasgow- said they will have to fight harder and with determination they can raise the country’s flag higher at the games.
“This is a vow we are making; we will be going there to fight harder to achieve success. We are well determined to raise the national flag higher this time,” he said.
“With experience in local and international competitions plus adequate trainings, test matches before the Games, we will make the difference this time at the Games.”
Sierra Leone Squash and Racket Association is one of the sporting associations that will represent the country in the Games.
