Gibo, ‘Adriano’ Kamara on target in Europe

Sierra Leone internationals, Gibrilla Julius Woobay and Alhaji ‘Adriano’ Kamara, were two Sierra Leonean players on target over the weekend in the Azerbaijan and Swedish topflight leagues respectively.

Woobay scored in the 47th minute for Neftçi as they secured a 2-1 home win over Simurq. However, the Sierra Leonean midfielder was substituted in the 70th minute by Ramos.

Still in the Azerbaijan topflight league, Sierra Leonean midfielder Alfred Sankoh played full time as his side, Khazar Lankaran defeated Inter Baki 1-0.

The other Sierra Leonean who was on target is Alhaji ‘Adriano’ Kamara, who scored his seventh goal of the season in the Swedish topflight league as his side Norrköping suffered a 2-4 home defeat to AIK.

In the Swedish second tier league (the Superettan), defender Ibrahim ‘Marcel’ Koroma enjoyed full time action in their 2-0 home win over Östersunds FK, while in the first division, Ibrahim Kallay also played full time in his side, IFK Lulea’s 1-0 away defeat to Forward.

The other Sierra Leonean players in the Swedish first division who were in action were defender Ishmael Koroma, who played full time for Nykoping in their 4-0 win over Skelleftea, but Umea defender Mohamed Kamanor, who also played for full time, saw his side suffer a 1-3 defeat to IFK Frej.

In England, Mohamed ‘Medo’ Kamara’s Bolton Wanderer’s poor run continues in the Championship as they suffered another defeat, this time away to Leeds United, losing 1-0. Medo was later replaced by Feeney in the 82nd minute.

In league One, Mustapha Dumbuya also played full time for Notts County as they suffered a 1-2 home defeat to Bristol City.

In Belarus, Leone Stars captain Umaru ‘Zaingalay’ Bangura’s Dinamo Minsk secured a 0-2 away win over Naftan, whilst in Finland, Hassan ‘Milla’ Sesay’s Lahti drew blank as they were forced to a goalless draw by Inter Turku.
