Sierra Leone forward, Alhaji ‘Andriano’ Kamara, was for the second week in a row on target in the Swedish Cup (The Svenska Cupen), helping Norrköping secure another win in the competition.

Kamara, who was the only Sierra Leonean player on target over the weekend, helped Norrköping to a 2-0 home win over Ängelholm to move top of Group 7 with six points from two matches.

The former FC Kallon striker gave the Swedish Premier League side an early lead just in the 3rd minute of play, before picking up a yellow card in the 62nd minute.

Moreover, Kamara’s teammate and striking partner, Niklas Bärkroth, sealed the win for the home side in the 84th minute.

Kamara’s goal was his third in two matches as he moved at the top of the scoring chart though tied-up with Ljungskile Ken Sema, Daryl Smylie of Jönköpings Sondra and IFK Göteborg’s Lasse Vibe – all with three goals.

The other Sierra Leoneans who were in action in the Swedish Cup are striking duo Mohamed ‘Poborsky’ Bangura and Alhassan ‘Crespo’ Kamara. ‘Crespo’ Kamara played full time as his Örebro side secured a 0-1 away win over Dalkurd. On the other hand, ‘Poborsky’ Bangura replaced Heenok Goitom in the 70th minute in AIK’s 0-3 win over Kristianstad.

Another Sierra Leonean midfielder in action was Alfred ‘Zagalo’ Sankoh whose Khazar Lankaran side defeated FK Baki 2-1 with Sankoh playing full time.

In the Portuguese second tier, Ibrahim ‘Obreh’ Kargbo also played full time for Atlético CP in their 1-1 draw with Sporting Braga II.

In the African Champions League, defender David Simbo helped Sudanese title holders, Al Hilal Omdurman to eliminate Zanzibar’s KMKM 2-1 on aggregate. Despite losing the first leg 1-0 away, Simbo’s Al Hilal was able to reach the next stage of competition with a 2-0 home win.

Meanwhile, in Italy, midfielder Rodney Strasser was left out of the Livorno squad which suffered a 1-0 away defeat to bottom side Crotone.
