Woobay stretched-off in Neftci stalemate

DECEMBER 3, 2014 By Sahr Morris Jr.

Sierra Leone’s attacking winger, Gibrilla Julius Woobay, was stretched-off in the 20th minute in his side, Neftçi FC’s goalless draw with Qabala in the Azerbaijan league. The former East-End Lions star was replaced by Brazilian Flavinho.

In the same league, midfielder Alfred ‘Zagalo’ Sankoh’s Khazar Lankaran’s away clash with Araz was postponed due to bad weather.

In Belarus, defender Umaru ‘Zaingalay’ Bangura continues to spend time on the sideline due to injury as his Dinamo Minsk side suffered a 0-2 home defeat to Gomel.

In the English Championship, midfielder Mohamed ‘Medo’ Kamara’s lack of game option continues as he was again – for the third week running – left out of Bolton Wanderers’ squad that defeated Huddersfield 1-0 at the Reebok Stadium.

In Turkey, midfielder Khalifa Jabbie was for the second week in a row an unused sub in Balıkesirspor’s 4-0 defeat suffered to Kayseri Erciyesspor. It was the former FC Kallon midfielder’s second appearance on the bench since his recovery from a shoulder injury in November.
