Kamara’s Norrköping escapes relegation

Sierra Leone striker, Alhaji ‘Adriano’ Kamara’s Norrköping side has moved away from the relegation zone following their 2-0 home win over Örebro in the Swedish topflight league, the Allsvenskan on Saturday.
The win takes Norrköping to 11th position with 35 points with just a single match to go, whilst Gefle, Mjällby and Brommapojkarna are all battling to escape relegation.
Kamara, who is Norrköping’s second highest goal scorer this season with nine goals, failed to hit the target but helped the club to a comfortable home win against his countryman, Alhassan ‘Crespo’ Kamara’s side.
The forward was withdrawn in the 80th minute, so was Örebro’s in-form striker ‘Crepso’ Kamara earlier in the 70th minute and replaced by Holmberg.
In the Superettan, defender Ibrahim ‘Marcel’ Koroma was out of action as his side Varberg trashed Värnamo 6-2 at home.
In the Swedish First Division, both Lansana Kamara and Mohamed Kamanor were in action for Umeå FC, who suffered a 3-0 defeat to Vasteras SK FK. Lansana played for 67 minutes before he was replaced by Oscar Sandstrom, whilst Kamanor enjoyed full time action. There was also full time action for midfielder Ibrahim Sorghor Kallay, whose IFK Luleå side forced IK Frej Taby to a 2-2 draw in the same division.
Central defender Ishmael ‘Jorjor’ Koroma also featured full time as his Nyköpings BIS side secured a 2-0 win over Vasalunds IF. Also, striker Ibrahim K. Fofanah played full time for Oskarshamns AIK in their 2-0 win over Uddevalla.
In the English Championship, midfielder Mohamed ‘Medo’ Kamara was left out by manager Neil Lennon as Bolton Wanderers secured a 3-1 home win over Brentford.
In the English League One, right-back Mustapha Dumbuya helped Notts County to a 0-1 away win over Scunthorpe United. There was no action for winger Abdulai Bell-Baggie who was an unused sub for Tranmere Rovers who forced AFC Wimbledon to a 2-2 draw.
In Belarus, Umaru ‘Zaingalay’ Bangura again missed out as Dinamo Minsk secured a 1-2 away win over Belshina.
In Azerbaijan, Alfred ‘Zagalo’ Sankoh played for 89 minutes as Khazar Lankaran suffered a 3-2 away defeat to Qarabağ.
Julius Woobay returned to the Neftçi side and played for 75 minutes in their goalless draw, whilst Hassan ‘Milla’ Sesay played full time for Lahti as they defeated Honka 2-0 in the Finnish topflight league, the Veikkausliiga
In Turkey, Khalifa Jabbie played full time for Balikesirspor who were walloped 0-5 at home by Bursaspor.
In the U.S. Major League Soccer, Michael Lahoud featured for 73 minutes as Columbus Crew defeated his Philadelphia Union side 2-1.
