In Kailahun High Court, 19 years old Samuel Sahr of Musalor village, Penguia Chiefdom, Kailahun District, was on Tuesday February 9th, sentenced to 15 years imprisonment after he was convicted of sexual penetration.
The convict was before Justice Francis Banks- Kamara on one count of sexual penetration contrary to Section 19 of the Sexual Offences of 2012.
According to the state, the convict on the 25th July ,2020, at Musalor Village, had a sexual intercourse with a 10 years old girl.
Before sentencing the convict, Justice Francis Banks- Kamara said the prosecution called two witnesses including the victim who testified in the trial, noting that the prosecution proved its case beyond all reasonable doubt that warranted the conviction.
In another matter in the same court, the judge convicted and sentenced one Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai of Ngiehun Town, Luawa Chiefdom, to thirteen (13) years imprisonment for office breaking and Larceny.
According to the state counsel, Daniel P. Mansaray, the accused, on the 11th November, 2020, at the Kailahun District Education Committee Primary School, broke into and entered the office of the said school and stole therein cooking pots, rubber buckets, rubber bowls, veronica buckets and rubber chairs, property of the Sierra Leone Government.
