Newly promoted Italian Serie A side, U.S Cremonese are keen on Sierra Leone and Crotone striker, Augustus Kargbo.
Kargbo, 22, is one of the players new coach Massimilliano Alvini wants in his squad after impressed during his time with Reggiana on loan.
On 22 July Kargbo scored scored the all-important goal for the promotion of the club to Serie B in the final against Bari a goal that coach Alvini will always remember as he tagged the Sierra Leonean forward, the Golden Child.
According to Italian press, TMW, with Crotone relegated to Serie C, the Sierra Leonean forward could be given life line on the top flight league after he endured a difficult time with Crotone this season scoring 3 goals, and 3 assists from 32 appearance.
Kargbo opened his Sierra Leone goal scoring account on Monday in Conakry, Guinea against Guinea Bissau to help them secured a 2-2 comeback in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Kargbo started his professional career in Italian fourth-tier Serie D club Campobasso before joining Serie B club Crotone he loaned him back to Serie D, to Rocella. He returned from loan in January 2019 and on the 19 January 2019 in a game against Cittadella, as a 68th-minute substitute for Marco Firenz, he made his Serie B debut for his parent club.
