Spectrum Dynamic Height (SDH), a company in Magburaka, Tonkolili district, has officially launched an XRF machine in a bid to prevent mistakes made by foreign investors, especially mining companies, in the course of transacting business in the country.
Speaking to Concord Times, General Manager of SDH, Idriss Tarawallie, said the XRF machine was quite accurate in measuring different elements of minerals found in the soil, adding that the instrument is useful in a country with minerals like tantalite, iron, zinc, and copper, among others. He said the machine is a produced internationally from Oxford Instruments in England.
He said subscribers who utilise the XRF machine will receive results of analyses within a minute, assuring the general public that the benefits of the XRF are immense, including the fact that it will not destroy the sample as it is not a wet chemistry and therefore does not need any acid or reagent, adding that the machine will also analyse solids, liquids, powdered, to name but a few, with a result accuracy of 99% assurance.
He said the XRF machine is being made available to the general public for the first time in Sierra Leone, and called on the business community to make good use of it.
“One can easily access us through +232-78-554215 or by logging into our website www.sdhlimited.com for further information,” Tarawallie said.
