“Save and win.” That’s the message from Ecobank Sierra Leone while launching its savings promo on Friday to encourage customers develop saving habit.
The savings promo is open to all, including new and existing customers with various appealing prices that customers can win, depending on their savings ability.
From saving as low as five thousand new Leones (Le5, 000) to twenty thousand new Leones (NLE20, 000), a customer can win a Car which is the grand price, a ‘Keke’ (tricycles), motorbike, phones and other prices.
“If you want to qualify to win, begin to gather and save from five thousand Leones you will qualify for the draw. If you want to qualify for bigger prices, you have to save ten thousand Leones and twenty thousand Leones, Ecobank’s Managing Director,” Aina Moore said during the launching of the promo.
Saving is important for personal development and for national development. If you do not save imagine what happens when emergency issues come your way,” the Managing Director added, encouraging people to manage their expenditures well and save for future needs. She said Ecobank has increased interest rate and given customers attractive prices.
Referencing a colleague banker, Moore said: “Don’t try to say you will save what is left but save and spend what is left.” Saving does not only help you have funds for investment, it also helps you through your old age. Live your best life. Save with Ecobank and spend what is left.”
Statistician General, Prof. Osman Sankoh who also doubles as Ecobank’s Board Director unveiled the prices. He encouraged customers to save and grab the chance of winning.
According to Ecobank’s Country of Consumer, Isha Sheriff, the Save and Win Promo will last for six months with three wining draws. The first draw will occur in December this year, and the second draw will take place in February while the grand final for the star price will happen next year, in April 2023.
The focus is to motivate customers save more with the Bank which will increase the Bank’s savings portfolio.
There is a need to save. And there is a chance to win different prices, Kingsley Emezue, Head, Customer Products and Business Development said in an interview with Concord Times, calling on customers to take advantage of the promo by increasing their savings account with the Bank and grab the chance of winning.
Ecobank is Pan-African Bank with several branches in Sierra Leone. Beyond the branches, the Bank also has agent points in various parts of the country where customers can do normal banking – make withdrawals and deposits. Through its live tellers, banking transactions are also easily done in Ecobank Micro Finance offices.
“We are highly accessible. We have digital platforms across different stores and supermarkets, Ecobank’s Emezue said. “The Bank has about 26 ATMs across the country. We also give our customers bank to wallet. So if you do not have a smart phone, and you are using a normal button phone; you can still do transaction with the Bank.”

Our digital channels, our mobile app, our internet banking platform are all effective digital platforms that customers do transactions without going to the bank, he added, saying: “For those who do not have smart phones, we also cater for them by connecting their accounts through Afri Money or Orange money which gives them access to their accounts any time.”
“What we offer to customers is banking solutions to their needs. They should use this campaign as a window for them to come to Ecobank and have a test of what we offer and see how they can benefit from it,” Kingsley Emezue says.
