Rovers to lose Sierra Leone defender

Swaziland National First Division League side, Mhlambanyatsi Rovers, are set to lose their Sierra Leonean defender Bamba Kamara as the player is set to join Correctional Services side Green Mamba next season.

According to reports in Swaziland, it has been reliably gathered that the player will be plying his trade at the Correctional Services side as he has caught the eye of team coach Gcina ‘Magiyane’ Dlamini with his good defensive skills.

Mhlambanyatsi Rovers’ spokesperson Sibusiso Zwane confirmed the news, saying they were still waiting for the premier league side to come to them for negotiations.

“Green Mamba has informed us about their interest in the player by stating that they wanted him for next season. They are, therefore, welcomed to come to the negotiation table as we cannot stand on the player’s way because he has served us diligently throughout the season,” Zwane said.

Green Mamba Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Thami Phakathi, said he was not ready to comment on the matter as they were still to draft their season’s report.

“We are still to meet as the management committee including the head coach where we will be analysing our squad and see the departments that need to be beefed up. We would love to have Kamara in the team because he is a talented player and he can add value to our team, but we will decide after our season’s review,” Phakathi said.
