Rifle tendered in Victoria Street murder

Detective police constable (DPC) 9389 Samuel Mansaray attached to the Crime Writers Unit at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) headquarters yesterday tendered in court one Huro rifle and eighteen (18) live rounds of ammunition in the murder matter of one Alimamy Kamara, who was said to have been murdered at his Victoria Street residence allegedly by an ex-Operational Support Division (OSD) officer of the Sierra Leone Police, Osman Conteh.

DPC 9389 Mansaray told the court that on 17th June 2015, while on duty DPC 1205 Bangura B. handed over to him some exhibits.

The said exhibits include one Huro rifle with registration No. 260568, one magazine containing eighteen (18) live bullets, two empty shells, and a missile removed from the deceased’s pelvic.

He told the court that he registered the exhibits in the court book against serial No.105/2015.

The accused was arraigned at the Freetown Magistrates’ Court No.1 presided over by Magistrate Komba Kamanda on one count of murder contrary to law.

Meanwhile, the accused has been relocated to the Male Correctional Center on Pademba Road and the matter adjourned to July 28 for further hearing.
