Turay made the declaration last week at the back of Life Light Preparatory Primary School, New England Ville.
The well determined aspirant told the mammoth crowd that they should elect someone, who among other things, has an unblemished records and would work in the interest of the community.
The son of the soil who has lived in the community for over forty years, said he is au-fait with the problems of the community and would address the constraints of the people, if awarded the symbol to contest and subsequently win the election.
He said it was an opportunity for the community to have better a representation, somebody who would act in the interest of the people and develop the community.
“We need people like me to improve this community. I am very much confident that I would get the people’s mandate. For far too long our community is deprived and I have the skills and charisma to develop this community,” she said.
Youth Chairman, Constituency 127 Community, Frank Kargbo, encouraged community residents to support somebody that knows and feels with them.
“We are very lucky to have somebody that is born and bred here. He is already aware of our problems and make no mistake about it, he would be a very good leader if we elect him. His records are second to none in terms of transparency,” he said.
Councilor for Ward 384, Sheka Lamin Dumbuya, who now aspires for parliamentarian seat, said it was time for someone within the community to represent the people because for far too long they have been represented by outsiders who know little or nothing about the plights of the people.
