Paralympics sets for level I training

NOVEMBER 17, 2014 By Sahr Morris Jnr

The Sierra Leone Paralympics’ Committee is set to organise the second stage of its level I Paralympics organisational capacity workshop that is scheduled to run from November 26 to 27 at the National Stadium.

The workshop, which is operated in collaboration with the Agitos Foundation, will attract participants from other sporting disciplines, including technical director Victor Carew and secretary-general Mohamed Abdul Turay of the Sierra Leone Swimming, Diving and Water Pooling Association.

The second phase of the workshop is expected to be climaxed by examination on the six core modules under the Paralympics organizational capacity.

The first phase of the training, which was conducted in April, attracted ten participants, and according to the organisers they are expecting the same number as certificates will be distributed to those who excel throughout the course and the examination.
