Orange Telecom, one of the leading GSM providers in the country, last (Friday 18th January) through the ‘win big’ 2018 Christmas promotion, presented two brand new  Bajaj tricycles (kekeh), plus a package of one year free fuel from Total Petroleum and maintenance agreement to two winners in Bo and Kenema respectively.

Orange Telecom, in December, 2018, launched their end of year promotion title ‘Win Big’ that provides customers with the opportunity to win brand new tricycles, plus one year free fuel from Total Petroleum and maintenance agreement and a star prize of two hundred million Leones.

Speaking at the handing over event in Bo and Kenema, Director of Marketing at Orange Telecom Sierra Leone, Laurent Kiba, stated that the company was not only operating in the country for profit making but that they also care about their subscribers across the country, which was why they  launched the promotion as a  means of giving back to society.

He said the company has put six brand new Bajaj tricycles, one year free fuel from Total Petroleum and maintenance agreement, one million Leones each to sixty customers and star prizes of one hundred million Leones each to two customers.

He disclosed that the promotion will end on 26th January, 2019, and that customers just need to buy recharge card, buy the company’s sim card or uses the Orange Money to conduct transaction and automatically qualify for the final stage of the promotion.

“Looking at the happy faces of Sierra Leoneans especially in the provinces show that they are happy with Orange Company and we are going to do all in our powers to continue to put smile on your faces,” he said

He further that communication was not only about having the devices but the type of services they provide for their customers, and promised that they were going to continue providing good and quality services to their customers in the country.

Speaking at Kenema Orange Office while receiving his prize as the 4th winner of the Bajaj tricycle, Junisa Brima, said it appeared to him like a fun when he received a call that he had won a tricycle from Orange Win Big Promotion.

“I can’t express how grateful I am today to Orange for transforming my life. It would have taken me years’ savings for me to be able to buy a tricycle but Orange has made it possible for me,” he said.

Also receiving his prize at the Orange Office in Bo Town, the 5th winner of the promotion, Detective Police Sergeant Mohamed Alie Conteh, said he will always be grateful to Orange and would continue to use the company’s products as long as he continues to use phone in the country.

According to him, when he received the call that he had won, he at first refused to respond, thinking that the call was coming from 419ers.

He added that because the caller was persistent, he had to enquire from some staff of Orange in Bo to ascertain the veracity of the call, while he later went home and informed his wife that Orange had changed their lives for good.
