NP market share stands at 62%

General Manager of NP (SL) Limited has described this year as a great success for the leading petroleum company in the country, revealing that they were able to deliver 3% market share in the industry.

Kobi Walker stated that despite challenges and huge competition in the market, their shares in the market now stands at 62% compared to 59% in 2016.

He was speaking over the weekend at the company’s annual awards night, hosted at the Freetown Gulf Club, where dealers, resellers, partners and staff were recognised for their outstanding performance throughout this year.

“This year has been a challenging one for us. We have seen tense competition but we have delivered 3% market share. Our share in the market now stands at 62%,” he revealed and added that there has never been shortage of fuel in their filling stations across the country.

Mr. Walker said he foresees a tough 2018 and urged staff members, dealers and resellers, among others, to stand firm in order to ensure greater success.

“Our mantra for 2018 will be ‘U sabi am’ because we want to maintain our dominance in the market in all areas,” he said and congratulated recipients of awards.

Earlier, Chairman Board of Directors, Mike Carroll said: “This year has been good. As a board, we are pleased with what the company has achieved so far.”

He said even though the competition in the market was keen, they have ablen able to triumph, adding that the board was satisfied with the output of the General Manager so far.
