New injury blow for Kamara

By Sahr Morris Jnr.

Sierra Leone and Swedish Premier League side, Örebro SK striker, Alhassan ‘Crespo’ Kamara appeared to have suffered another injury blow after he collapsed during a training session with his club last Friday.

Kamara, who recently recovered from a meniscus injury suffered during a warm-up match before the start of the Swedish league season, has been on the sideline for almost a month but his comeback has been hampered by this latest news as he seemed to have injured himself again.

According to reports in Sweden, the former FC Kallon striker suddenly collapsed only in connection with a termination exercise as no player was near him when it happened. His knee was wrapped tightly.

Örebro SK physio, Jimmy Högberg, refused to make comments on the issue saying journalists must wait until they have a look at the player. “I won’t say anything. We’ll have to wait and see,” Högberg told NA online in Sweden.

Kamara has missed several key opening season matches due to injury and recently missed Sierra Leone’s 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Swaziland, and could possibly miss the return leg in Freetown on May 31st.
