Executive Director of Network of HIV Positives in Sierra Leone (NETHIPS), Idrissa Songo, has received a meritorious performance certificate from the group’s northern members because of what they say is his transparency, good leadership   and accountability.

While receiving the award from NETHIPS’ administrative assistant in Makeni, Muctarr Bangura, Mr. Songo expressed thanks and appreciation to his colleagues for giving recognition to his stewardship since the establishment of the network.

He said the award has given him extra zeal to work hard to achieve the organization’s optimal goal. He said the award was both a motivation and symbol honour to him, and promised to move the organization to a level that would benefit the entire membership.

He appealed to all network members to collectively work in the interest of the group, and for them to exhibit self-discipline.

Presenting the certificate, Mr. Bangura said he hoped the award would serve as a motivator to the recipient to push the network to higher heights. He praised the contribution of Mr. Songo since the establishment of the network to date, and encouraged him to put more effort into strengthening the network.
