Moroccan and Mauritian referees will control the first and second leg encounters (respectively) of the 2015 CAF Confederations Cup qualifiers between Algerian side ASO Chlef and Sierra Leone’s Kamboi Eagles.

The Moroccan referees – Redouane Jiyed, Issam Benbaba, Mabrouk Youcef and Hicham Tiazi – will take full control of the first leg tie on Sunday February 15.

35 year-old Jiyed will be the central referee to be assisted by Benbaba and Youcef, whilst Tiazi will serve as the fourth official.

Also, CAF has appointed Mauritian Amadou Thiam as the central referee to be assisted by his countrymen Warr Abdourrahmane, Chikhna Demba Boubou and Kelly Abderrahmen for the second leg tie.

The second leg encounter has now been scheduled for March 1 in Algeria.

Meanwhile, Kamboi Eagles coach Alhaji M. Foray alias ‘Abedi’ has hailed his team’s spirit after their Wednesday training session at the Mohamed Boumezrag Stadium in Chlef.

He said: “We know it is not going to be an easy battle for us but with determination and team spirit nothing is impossible.”
