Sierra Leone and Columbus Crew SC striker Kei Kamara has been fined an undisclosed amount by the U. S. Major League Soccer (MLS) disciplinary committee for what is said to be an “escalating a mass confrontation”.
The committee issued a statement accusing the forward of instigating mass confrontation in the 71st minute of Crew’s win against Houston last Saturday.
The striker was the hero of the night as he netted his third goal of the season to give Crew a 1-0 home win.
The Sierra Leone international, 31, was not the only player that was hit by the MLS disciplinary committee fine. Houston Dynamo midfielder Alex Monteiro de Lima was suspended for a game and issued an undisclosed fine for his serious foul play that endangered the safety of an opponent.
