Sierra Leonean youngster Margret Sesay scored on her debut for the Lady Bulldogs soccer team in their 6-2 thrashing of University of South Alabama Women Soccer League in the United States.
Sesay opened the scoring with a simple shot past USA goalkeeper Courtney Baum. The former FC Mahmoud striker’s goal came after a beautiful build-up play starting in the Maroon & White defence.
Ana Huertas made the initial outlet pass to sprinting winger Fatmata Mansaray – Sesay’s countrywoman – who played a great pass to Sesay after drawing the keeper to her.
The Jaguars recovered when Hannah Charde scored an unassisted goal about 10 minutes before the half-time break.
The Bulldogs went on to score five more unanswered goals before Estelle Esperance broke their flow and netted her first goal of the season.
Sesay’s and Mansaray’s Lady Bulldogs return to action this Friday when the University of Southern Mississippi visit ‘the Hill’.
