Man remanded for murder

Julius Buck has been sent to the Male Correctional Centre on Pademba Road in Freetown after he appeared before Magistrate Albert Moody on the offence of murder contrary to law.

The particulars of offence stated that Julius Buck, on Saturday, 13th May, at George Brook, Dworzark, did murder Sia Salamatu Fayia.

In another development, Magistrate Hannah Bonnie of Court No.2 has cautioned and discharged one Mohamed Conteh, who was charged with fraudulent conversion contrary to Section 21 (1) (iv) (a) of the Larceny Act.

The particulars of offence stated that the convict, between 1st and 31st May, 2017, at No.12 Free Street, fraudulently converted to his own use and  benefited certain  property – sixty four pieces of ladies trousers, valued nine hundred and seventy thousand Leones, entrusted to him by Kadiatu Saccoh for the purpose of sale.

Also in the same court, Magistrate Hannah Bonnie also discharged one Mohamed Sesay for want of prosecution.

He was charged with one count of Larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act.

It was alleged that Mohamed Sesay, on Wednesday, 31st May, 2017, at No.6 Guard Street, stole one black madam bag, valued eighty thousand Leones (Le80, 000) and cash of six million, three hundred thousand Leones, property of Musu Bundu.
