Magistrate Manuella Harding yesterday remanded Macfuse Sheriff at the Pademba Road male correctional centre after his arraignment for intentionally causing grievous bodily harm to one Sento Sesay.
The accused was charged with three counts of grievous bodily harm, wounding and assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to sections 18, 20 and 47, respectively, of the Offences Against the Persons Act of 1861.
The prosecution alleges that the accused, Macfuse Sheriff, did commit the offence on 19th January 2015 at Pademba Road in Freetown.
Complainant Sento Sesay was unable to testify in court as she complained excruciating pains all over her body, thus leaving the magistrate with no option but to adjourn until Friday, 30 January.
