After he allegedly broke and entered into a dwelling and stole property amounting to millions, Magistrate Sahr Kekura on Friday 11th March 2022 remanded Charles Combay in custody at the Male Correctional Facility on Pademba Road in Freetown.

According to the indictment, the accused, Combay, on Monday 29th March 2022, at No. 4 Pearson Street, Aberdeen in Freetown, entered into the dwelling house of Ibrahim Fofanah and stole fifty five million Leones, property of Fofanah.

Police added that the accused, Combay, at the same place and time, broke and entered into the dwelling house of Nada Fofanah and stole the sum of one thousand three hundred United States dollars, belonging to Fofanah.

The accused, Combay, is faced with one count charge of Larceny contrary to Section 13(1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

The prosecution in the above action is yet to bring witness in court to testify against Combay.

Magistrate Kekura expressed curiosity as to why the 20 years old allegedly stole the monies and if the monies were discovered on his possession, but he would not say anything substantial, rather he bowed his head while standing in the dock.

Magistrate Kekura remanded Combay at the Male Correctional Facility on Pademba Road and he adjourned the matter to the 16th March 2022.
