Magistrate Daboh to Decide fate of Armed Robber

The exhibit clerk attached at the exhibit store, Ross Road Police Station, Sergeant 10275 Buya Kamara, has produced and tendered two live rounds bullet and a crow bar in respect of one Slyvanus Kayande, whose fate  would be decided  on the 27th of February, 2021.

The accused person was arraigned before Magistrate Hadiru Daboh of Ross Road court number three for preliminary investigation on four count charges of conspiracy to commit felony, robbery with aggravation, wounding and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

It was alleged on count one that, the accused person conspired with other persons unknown to commit felony.

On count two to four, it was alleged that the accused person robbed the complainant, Fatmata Fofanah, of her  property worth one million Leones and in the process wounded and assaulted her.

Testifying in court, the exhibit clerk said he is responsible to receiving and keeping all exhibits brought to the station in respect of cases that would be investigated and prosecuted in court.

He said on the 3rd of December, 2020, he was on duty when detective police constable 14486 Alieu S. attached to the Anti Robbery Unit, Freetown East, handed over to him two live rounds, one empty shell and a crowbar for safe keeping.

He said he received the items and registered them in the court’s register against serial number 114/20 and since that time they have been in his custody.

The exhibit clerk produced and tendered them to form part of the prosecution’s case.

At the end of his testimony, prosecution declared their case closed.

In that instance, Magistrate Hadiru Daboh adjourned the matter to the 27th of February, 2021 for ruling.
