Diploma 2 vows to retain title
September 30, 2015 By Sahr Morris Jr.
Reigning champions of the Mass Communication Students Association (MACOSA) annual gala at FBC, Diploma 2, have vowed to retain their title when they take on Honours 2 in the tournament’s grand-final at the Havelock grounds today (Wednesday September 30).
The current title holders, who booked their place to the final after defeating BA Year 2 by 1-0, are hopeful of winning again and their skipper, Sorie Kommah, believes the match will be a repeat of last year’s final.
“We are more than determined to retain this crown,” said an upbeat Kommah. “Honours 2 are no longer strangers to us and they know what we are capable of doing. In all our previous encounters against them we’ve always walked away as victors and Wednesday will be no exception.

On the side of Honours 2, their midfield maestro, Sheku P. Kamara, is confident their side will be out to put an end to Diploma 2’s title reign.
“We are not going to be third time unlucky against them, and I believe we are going to end that jinx and lift this year’s title,” said Kamara.
This will mark the third meeting between the two sides with Diploma 2 winning all the previous two encounters.
