Liberia seeks US$15,000 for Boxing Day sports

Liberia Athletics Federation (LAF) is soliciting sponsorship package of US$15,000 to participate in Sierra Leone’s 90th traditional Boxing Day Athletics sports meet at the Siaka Stevens Sports Stadium in Freetown.

According to the LAF Vice President for Technical Affairs and Acting Secretary General, Frederick Krah, the said budget would be meant for transportation and per diem for 27-man delegation, which includes 20 athletes and seven officials.

The three days event has been schedule to run from December 23-26 and already preparation of 20 athletes for the trip are in progress.

This will be the first time for the LAF to participate in the Sierra Leone’s Boxing Day Meet since the end of the Ebola virus. Prior to the virus, LAF has always been in attendance.
