Le30m bail for cable thief

Unisa Kamara, an accused standing trial at the Pademba Road Magistrates’ Court No.2 presided over by Magistrate Mohamed Serray-Wurie, was last Friday granted bail in the sum of Le30 million with two sureties, although he had been denied bail on four previous requests.

The accused was charged with the offence of larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to prosecutor Assistant Superintendent Francis K. Nyuma, the accused on 8th October stole from one Murray Mungoh Kallon 60 meters of electrical cable at the Bintumani Hotel.

The accused is represented by defence counsel T.J. Tyre.

The matter was adjourned to 7th November.
