Prof. Kim Hyung Sung of the Sungkyunkwan University Law School in the Republic of Korea and Young-Kwon Roh, President of Hanswel Co. Ltd., last Thursday July 16 paid a courtesy call on the Minister Plenipotentiary/Head of Chancery of the Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Seoul, James T.A. Sawi.
After the exchange of pleasantries, Prof. Kim stated that his visit to the embassy was to initiate contact and to see how best to establish a friendship cooperation between the peoples of the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Sierra Leone.
He proffered a range of areas where Korea and Sierra Leone could promote a better friendship cooperation, which included business, journalism, education, medical and politics.
In his response, Mr. Sawi thanked Prof. Kim for his kind initiative. He introduced the Second Secretary, Steven Levey and elaborated on the good and cordial relationship that has existed between the two countries for years, and that was more the reason why the Government of Sierra Leone decided to establish a diplomatic presence in Korea to further strengthen the existing relations for the mutual benefit of both peoples.
He added that developing such friendship cooperation could be of great significance in learning from each other, especially the path Korea took to their development.
The meeting concluded with the Professor promising to pay future visits for further cooperation.
