Sierra Leonean duo, Kei Kamara’s and Mohamed Poborsky Bangura’s brilliant form in front of goal continued on Wednesday as the pair showed their goal scoring prowess again in the U.S. Major League Soccer (MLS) and in the Swedish Cup, the Svenska Cupen, respectively.
Former Norwich City forward Kei Kamara gave Columbus Crew the lead in the 24 minutes thanks to a pass from Ethan Finley as he (Kamara) registered his 18th goal of the season.
However, Kwadwo Poku levelled the score on 57 minutes with a link up play with former Barcelona star David Villa. The Ghanaian scored his second of the night to give New York the 2-1 lead in the 66 minutes.
But New York’s lead lasted for just six minutes as the Sierra Leonean striker became provider thanks to a quick one-two with Cedrick Mabwati, who levelled the score to 2-2.
In Sweden, Mohamed Poborsky Bangura scored his ninth goal of the season after his AIK Solna side walloped Division II side Ekerö 0-6 in the second rounds of the Svenska Cupen.
Bangura extend AIK’s lead in the 51th minute after a Brustad opener in the 45 minutes. Meanwhile, Mohamed Bilili Bangura was the other Sierra Leonean in action on Wednesday, but his Härnösand side suffered a 1-3 defeat to Syrianska.
