The charity organization ‘Keep It Fax’ over the weekend donated medical consumables worth millions of leones to the Connaught Hospital and the Princess Christian Maternity Hospital (Cottage) respectively.

Handing over the items to the Directorate of Connaught Hospital, Abdul Karim Sesay stated that the items were made available to the two hospitals through the humanitarian effort of the founder of the organization, Mohamed Lamin Sesay and friends in the United Kingdom.

He said the donation is meant to complement government’s efforts in the fight against the dreadful Ebola virus disease. He recalled that the father of the founder of the organisation, Dr. Idriss Sesay, had made a similar donation to the hospital last year before the Ebola outbreak.

Receiving the items, Dr. T.B. Kamara thanked ‘Keep It Fax’ “for their timely assistance”, noting that the items will go a long way in addressing some of the problems associated with the sick.

He assured that the items will be used for their intended purpose.

According to Dr. Kamara, the Sesay family has been very responsive to the plight of the hospital, citing a cardiac machine donated to the hospital last year by Dr. Idriss Sesay.

The hospital matron, Isatu Kabba, thanked the organization for their support and prayed fervently for God’s replenishment and guidance, while the Board Secretary, Solomon Gerber, also congratulated the members of ‘Keep It Fax’ for their support as “it is something that comes from the heart”.
