Kamara rescues IFK Norrköping again but stretched-off

By Sahr Morris Jnr.

Sierra Leone striker, Alhaji Kamara was at the rescue again for his Swedish club IFK Norrköping as they forced IFK Gothenburg to a 2-2 draw over the weekend in the Swedish top flight league, the Allsvenskan.

Kamara, who came off the bench to help Norrköping grab a 2-1 win over Åtvidaberg two weeks back, was on target again on Sunday to secure a point against an IFK Gothenburg side that has not lost in the league since April 7.

Libe gave the home side the lead in the 16th minute before Johansson doubled things up in the 31st minute. IFK Norrköping pulled one back through Meneses four minutes before the break before Kamara grabbed the equalizer in the 52nd minute for his third goal of the season.

“Since I came to the club I’ve been working on my trades. I knew immediately when I turned around I got a good hit and that it would go in,” said Kamara who received very boos of the home fans.

The Sierra Leonean striker ended the match on a stretcher but it did not seem to be anything serious. He should be okay for the game against Gefle in a week.

“I had trouble breathing at the end of the match, but now it feels better,” said Kamara himself after the final whistle.
