Kallon scores again as Inter bids farewell to China

OCTOBER 21, 2014 By Sahr Morris Jnr.

Sierra Leone football legend, Mohamed Kallon, scored again for Inter Forever (Inter Milan legends) as they thrashed Hubei 5-0 in their final tour match in China.

Two goals from Youri Djorkaeff, a Kallon penalty and strikes from David Suazo and Ousmane Dabo climaxed the Inter Forever tour of China as they head for Italy.

With so much pressure from the hosts, the first half ended 1-0 in favour of the Inter legends and in the second half, Suazo expertly sprung the offside trap to run through one-on-one with the keeper, who brought the Inter man down for a clear penalty.

Kallon stepped up to take the spot kick which he expertly dispatched, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way to make it 2-0. The former Leone Stars captain played in both matches for the former Inter Milan stars.

Kallon’s goal seemed to break Hubei’s resistance, and the Nerazzurri scored their third through a scintillating right-footed 30-yard effort from Dabo. That would’ve been the end of it, but Djorkaeff had other ideas.

The Frenchman completed a man-of-the-match performance with a magnificent late brace. The 1998 World Cup winner demonstrated his immortal quality for all the Chinese Nerazzurri fans to see.
