Kallon could join India’s Pune City FC

OCTOBER 1, 2014 By Sahr Morris Jnr.

Sierra Leone veteran striker, Mohamed Kallon, could be the latest star to join the Indian Super League as the former Inter Milan man is expected to sign a deal with Pune City FC.

The former Leone Stars captain, who also played for AS Monaco in France, is expected to undergo test with the Indian side before a deal will be agreed. If the deal materializes, Kallon will play alongside former Juventus and France striker, David Trezeguet.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, Pune City’s Italian coach, Franco Colomba, has already brought in Emanuele Belardi, Bruno Cirillo and Daniele Magliocchetti and is hoping Kallon and Trezeguet will spearhead his attack having worked with Kallon in Italy.

Already the Indian Super League continues to attract many big players as the likes of Spanish defender Joan Capdevila, David James, Fredrik Ljungberg, Nicolas Anelka, Luis García Borja, Del Piero and Adrian Mutu have all joined several clubs in India.

Pune City FC is co-owned by Indian actor, producer, and television presenter Salman Khan and Italian club ACF Fiorentina, which owns a 15% stake in the franchise.
