In a recent development at Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown, 19-year-old Alimamy Dauda Kamara and 25-year-old Sheriff Kamara found themselves back before Magistrate Sahr Kekura.
The pair faces charges related to receiving stolen goods and larceny, stemming from incidents dating back to December 2023 and January 2024.
The accusations against Sheriff Kamara involve the alleged receipt of stolen AC blowers, while Alimamy Dauda Kamara faces charges of both theft and assault.
The latter is accused of stealing AC blowers and floor tiles, as well as assaulting and maliciously wounding Samuel Koroma.
During the proceedings, Inspector Sallue Tap presented witness testimony, including evidence gathered from the crime scene and statements obtained from the accused.
Despite efforts to secure bail for one of the accused, Magistrate Sahr Kekura opted to remand the first accused person while bail proceedings continue for the second accused.
The case is set to resume on May 16, 2024, as authorities continue to unravel the details surrounding the alleged offenses.
