11 accused persons remanded

Eleven accused persons were last Friday remanded at the maximum security prison on Pademba Road by Magistrate Komba Kamanda of the Freetown Magistrates’ Court No.2 for allegedly murdering one Francis Kamara aka ‘Obluffa’.
The accused persons – Abdul Fullah, Alhaji Bangura, Orfather Koroma, Alhassan Jalloh, Mohamed Koroma, Abdul Rahman Mansaray, Mohamed Metto Kanu, Alimamy Fofanah, Sheriff Kamara alias Jaygay, Edwin Manga and Abdul Bangura – were arraigned on two counts of conspiracy to commit murder contrary to Section 4 of the Offences Against the Persons Act of 1861, and murder contrary to law.
According to police prosecutor Sergeant 922 J. Dumbuya, the accused on 11th September, at Jorpoh Farm in Waterloo, conspired with unknown persons to commit a felony, to wit murder.
The prosecutor also averred that the accused persons on the same date and at the same location, murdered the deceased.
The accused persons were represented by defence counsel Crispin F. Edwards Esq.
The matter is slated to resume on 11 November when the prosecution will present their witnesses.
