The Resident Ambassador for Ireland to Sierra Leone and Liberia, Her Excellency Catherine Campbell, has said that her country would help the government of Sierra Leone improve on girl child education, food and nutrition for lactating and pregnant women, as well as people-to-people relations between the Republic of Ireland and Sierra Leone.
She was speaking on Tuesday during a courtesy call on new Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC), Dr.

According to Ambassador Campbell, her country seeks to strengthen and deepen bilateral relations in the areas of girl child education, food and nutrition for lactating and pregnant women.
She extended fraternal salutations from the government and people of Ireland to the government and people of Sierra Leone and also presented a congratulatory letter from the Irish government to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for His Excellency, President Julius Maada Bio.
Madam Campbell underscored her government’s continuous assistance and support to Sierra Leone.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Alie Kabba welcomed the ambassador to his ministry and assured her of the full support of his ministry, both at bilateral and multilateral levels.
He continued that improving education is the primary concern of the president and that as a government, they are ready to work with her in improving education for girls, augmenting food and nutrition and helping pregnant women.
