Sierra Leone and FC Johansen winger, George Kweku Davies, has signed a professional contract with German side SpVgg Greuther Fürth, which will see him at the club until 2019.
The German club, who has had Davies on training for over a month now, announced the signing of professional contract last Sunday after the youngster turned 18.
With the paper work all done, Davies will be training with the senior team as he is expected to start playing with the team in January.
“George has great technical skills and an extraordinary speed. He can be used both offensively on the left and on the right side,” Greuther Fürth President Helmut Hack describes the qualities of the 18-year-old.
“He is like Baba, sometimes he is really Good! Especially in the one-against-one, he is very strong and fast. Nevertheless, Baba was at the beginning tactically and defensively a little further.”
After Monday’s training, the winger told journalists in Germany that he was happy to sign a professional contract and hope to repay the club back.
He told BILD: “I am incredibly proud and happy now to be a professional footballer in Germany and hope I can repay this trust Greuther Fürth.”
Since August, the former Mount Aureol SLIFA winger was at the youth academy in the German power football and trained with the U19 and U23.
