Confirm reports state that a blaze of fire last week engulfed Nyandehun village in Bargbo Chiefdom, Bo district.

According to one of the victims of the fire incident, forty-five (45) houses were completely destroyed, with properties worth millions of Leones, including livestock, perishing in the inferno.

Speaking on his ordeal, Alhaji Ibrahim Jalloh said worshipers were praying in the village mosque at 2 p.m. on Friday, a fortnight ago, when they saw fire in one of the houses at the extreme end of the village. He said though that the cause of the fire was not immediately known, but referred to it as ‘mysterious’.

He said victims of the fire accident are in desperate need of help as they are without food and clothing, thus calling on the government, non-governmental organisations and well-wishers to come to their aid before the start of the rains.
