January 28, 2015 By Sahr Morris Jr

Several Crystal Palace fans have hailed Sierra Leonean youngster Sullay Kakai for his impressive display for Cambridge United against Manchester United in last Friday’s FA Cup clash which ended in a goalless draw.

Kaikai, who is on loan to Cambridge United from Palace, played for 53 minutes as the lower league side secured a memorable FA Cup draw at home.

The 19-year-old stood out, causing Manchester United problems with his directness and ability to run with the ball, and despite his early second half substitution, Kaikai managed the joint highest number of dribbles in the Cambridge team, and worked hard, winning one tackle and one interception.

The youngster’s performance won him praise from keenly watching Palace fans and other football supporters, who saw signs the attacker is a good prospect.

One of the fans, Gareth twitted: “Well done Sullay Kaikai, excellent game tonight.” Another Connor Stewart posted: “Good to see Sullay Kaikai play against Man U and get a draw and put in a good shift.”

Also, another fan Kai tweeted: “Kaikai should’ve got MOTM (man of the match) for me. He was the standout player. Best performance I’ve ever seen from a football player.”

Already the youngster has scored in the Capital One Cup for Palace against Newcastle this season, and so far for Cambridge he has two goals and two assists in 10 games, and threatened against Manchester United.
