A cross section of members of the European Union Delegation to Sierra Leone, led by Sven Ruesch,on Wednesday presented a team of three consultants to the National Civil Registration Authority (NCRA), contracted to support the Civil Registration process and consolidate the Integrated Civil Register exercise.

Welcoming the delegations and consultants, Director General of NCR, Mohamed Mubashir Massaquoi, thanked the European Union for their timely support, noting that his institution and the country would benefit from the knowledge and expertise of the consultants.

In response, the consultants heartily appreciated the warm welcome they received from the Director General and NCRA Senior Management team, adding that  they were willing to work and share their knowledge and expertise with the NCRA Management team.

This is the first of three assistances including Technical Assistance, Works, Services and Supply and programme estimate, which the European Union has offered to help build the capacity of NCRA and to promote civil registration, Identity Management and the Integrated Civil Registration in Sierra Leone.

NCRA will benefit from the transfer of knowledge, policy formulation and reform, according to Mr. Sven Ruesch from the European Union.
